March 25th as Reconciliation Monday” throughout the Diocese of Bridgeport. Our parishioners can visit St. Pius X Church in Fairfield from 3:00 to 9:00 PM for the Sacra- ment of Reconciliation, ensuring that the lay faithful of Fairfield County will be able to experience God’s mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation as Holy Week begins.

Tenebrae Service

A Tenebrae Service will be held during Holy Week, on

Wednesday, March 27th at 6:00 PM in Church (please note there is NO evening Mass at 5:30 PM). “Tenebrae” is a Latin word that simply means “darkness” or “shadows”. It is a devotion that dates back to the seventh or eight cen- tury A.D. and is characterized by the successive extinguish- ing of candles as the prayer service progresses. The ser- vice promises to be a solemn evening that will benefit the spirit of worship.
