Operation Hope provides services to people who are homeless and at-risk of homelessness.
The parish family at Assumption provides a well-balanced evening meal for Operation Hope guests once a month. Meal preparation takes place monthly on the fourth Tuesday from 6:00 p.m.—8:00 p.m. in the parish hall kitchen. It is led by professional chef and parishioner, Don Catlin. Six to eight volunteers typically prepare salad, roasted root vegetables, roasted chicken breast, and a dessert (usually apple crisp). There is usually a different group of volunteers each much, but a great time is had by all!
Volunteers are asked to bring a sharp knife, cutting board, and vegetable peeler / paring knife. For more information or if you’re interested in assisting in meal prep, please contact Tom at 334-8096 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
